Inner-City Arts is an organisation which invests in the youth of LA, creating a bridge between the studio and the classroom. It engages young people in the creative process in order to shape a society of creative, confident and collaborative individuals. Every summer, they host a creative career fair for students to meet with people from a wide range of creative fields. Participants include photographers, architects, film makers, art directors, shoe designers, plus many more creative fields.
For the third year in a row, our LA studio’s Lead Nuke Artist Olly Caiden represented MPC at the event and spoke with a range of students, discussing what kind of opportunities are out there after they graduate, how to enter into the field, qualifications needed, and anything else students may want to know.
Olly commented, “It’s a really nice event where the students get to engage with a whole variety of people from the industry and potentially spark a passion which could turn into a career.”
The fair was followed by a dynamic panel discussion based on ‘Making a Living in the Visual, Media and Performing Arts’.
