MIKROS MPC & FRANCOIS ROUSSELET REUNITED FOR SUCESSFUL LIVING
During Pride Month 2020, Diesel and Publicis Italy have released their latest movie as part of their For Successful Living campaign. ‘Francesca’, produced by Division and directed by award-winning François Rousselet with the advice of Diversity, an Italian association committed to promoting social inclusion, fully expresses the brand’s spirit: living successfully means staying true to oneself, making one’s own path successful.
Starring model and activist, Harlow Monroe, who is a trans woman herself, the film celebrates the freedom of individuality. It tells a story about transitioning and religion, notably Roman Catholicism. To bring this strong message to screens and to depict this emotional, physical and spiritual process, François Rousselet chose to partner once more with Mikros MPC for the image post-production.
Fabrice Damolini, Managing Director at Mikros MPC, commented:
“It is always a renewed pleasure to work with François Rousselet. For the past two years, we have been partnering with him on a great variety of projects, from automotive to banking and beauty. We value the strong creative collaboration that we have forged since the first project. Our teams are very proud to have worked with him on Francesca, which is such a progressive movie for social inclusion and diversity. It was equally rewarding for us to host our partners within our premises for the editing and grading. We really feel like our studio is the home of this project”.
In parallel to ‘Francesca’, the Mikros MPC teams provided VFX on another film for Diesel’s “For Successful Living” SS20 campaign, also created by Publicis Italy, directed by François Rousselet and produced by Division. Released in February 2020, the spot depicts a man who, like Superman, is born super but pretends to be more mediocre than he really is for his professional life as an actor, “because that’s all this lame culture can bear”.
