MPC partners with McCann and Independent Films to create a series of fun idents for Just Eat
The latest Just Eat idents celebrate the joy of a Saturday night takeaway coupled with the nation’s favourite talent show, The X Factor, to illustrate that joy can come in many forms.
In the 5”, 10” and 15” spots unexpected funny and charming characters – ranging from portraits in a museum to a colourful unicorn phone case – all sing along to the famous ‘Did Somebody Say Just Eat’ mnemonic with the same lovable abilities we’ve come to expect from X Factor hopefuls.
The idents were directed by Jake Dypka through Independent Films, with VFX by MPC, led by VFX Supervisor Bevis Jones, and colour by MPC’s Matthieu Toullet.
Bevis said: “It was great to work with Jake Dypka and McCann to create these fun spots in a super quick time-frame. Each ident had its own mini challenge. The Cats one was a CG ornament head replacement – making the ornaments sing like a barber shop quartet. It meant creating miniature characters to seamlessly fit in the chintzy living room.”
The spots will run across the ad breaks of Celebrity X Factor on ITV until 30 November and X Factor All Stars until 15 December.
