MIKROS MPC CONTRIBUTES TO CELEBRATE LIFE WITH FRENCH DIRECTOR ARNAUD DESPLECHIN AND DDB
Cinema and advertising are just one step away ! Mikros MPC has collaborated with Arnaud Desplechin on his first advertising campaign for La Sécurité Routière, the French organization that acts on the behavior of road users to make them aware of their responsibilities and contributes to improving the safety of road infrastructures, vehicles and user protection equipment. A long-standing relationship binds the French director with the Mikros group, which has provided VFX works on some of his feature films such as Jimmy P (2013), award-winning My Golden Days (2015) and Ismael’s Ghosts (2017).
This year campaign has been designed by DDB and is made of five short films of 30 seconds, which broadcast has started on December 15th, just ahead of the festive season and the deconfinement measures in France that might be conductive to new road accidents. Far from the usual shocking, violent and guilt-creating images, the new campaign purposely distinguishes itself. As a call for life, it conveys a highly optimistic message by showcasing people enjoying simple, happy and intimate moments of life in a very authentic and poetic way. It raises awareness of ‘nothing is worth life’ and reminds the viewers that they shouldn’t take unnecessary risks on the road.
The teams at Mikros MPC post-produced the hero spots and the various iterations required for the digital channels by providing restoration, editing, grading and conform.
