“Diamonds are a girl’s best friend”

Cartier reinterprets the famous song “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend” in this campaign designed by Publicis 133 and directed by Johan Renck. Karen Elson plays all the facets of the eternal feminine to present the finest jewellery of the world-famous brand in eternal Paris, under the gaze of the emblematic panther, with effects refined by Mikros MPC.

The teams of Mikros MPC were responsible for the matte painting of Paris, the big wheel made of diamonds in CG and the cleaning of the Paris streets. Additionally, the teams performed remote grading from the MPC London studio.

“This was one of the highlights of the year, a beautifully photographed spot directed by Johan Renck, an opportunity to develop a color band of deep reds, night blues, gold, silver and alabaster skin tones, bringing the luxury feel to another level, with a subtle touch of glorious 50’s Hollywood, all put together by the brilliant team at Mikros MPC,” said Jean-Clement Soret, Global Creative Director of Colour Grading.
