We started the Artist-In-Residence program to give our artists from across the global studios an opportunity to live and work with our amazing MPC team in Bangalore. The program kicked off with Senior Flame Artist Andre Arevalo, who spent a few weeks soaking up the vibrant culture and gaining valuable insight into the ways of working in the Bangalore studio.

So, we’re excited to announce that Sandra Ross, a Compositing Artist from our LA studio, has recently made the trip to Bangalore and is spending five weeks with the team.

“Having the opportunity to actually meet many of the people I’ve worked with over the past few years was very exciting. It’s nice to actually make that connection in person, and I believe this will really help our working relationship going forward.”

Sandra added, “Communication is always key, which is why it’s so important to understand how everyone communicates and to find more efficient ways of working.”

But it’s not all been work since Sandra arrived – she has also been able to explore the beautiful city and sample some of India’s best dishes: “I’ve taken a couple Zumba/Bollywood classes. Learning about the music and cultural landscape has been fun.”

“Overall, it’s a great learning experience from a different perspective. I’ve realized that there are many creative solutions and workflow developments that can continue to evolve between our global studios.”
