The winners of the Golden Lion Advertising Awards in Shanghai have been announced, and Head of Color (MPC Shanghai), Nikola Stefanovic, has been awarded Best Colourist for his work on the 90th anniversary campaign for Durex, ‘Step Forward’.

The campaign saw Durex partner up with the talented director Limin Wang to tell captivating stories of four couples throughout the decades who weren’t afraid to step forward.

Nikola teamed up with Wang and DP Frederik Jacobi, enhancing the beautiful footage and tying the four different decades together into one cohesive film. The result was an epic journey brought to life by Nikola’s filmic color grade.

The Golden Lion Awards are competitive awards presented with the aspiration to summarize and celebrate the most relevant achievements of the year in terms of creativity and production, while also using these highlights to remind advertisers and brand owners of the new directions in which Chinese advertising is going.
