Last night the annual D&AD Awards Show took place virtually, gathering the industry’s finest to celebrate the very best in creative excellence for design and advertising. The evening was, as ever, packed full of original, inspirational and creatively excellent work, as the iconic and highly coveted pencils were handed out to worthy winners from across the industry’s craft categories.
MPC are thrilled to have picked up four pencils in recognition of some of our most notable projects from the past year. Burberry ‘Festive’ created with MEGAFORCE through Riff Raff Films led the sweep winning Yellow and Graphite Pencils in Visual Effects CGI and Compositing, with iShares ‘Eleanor T Fitzsimmons’ also picking up a Graphite Pencil for Colour Grade by Jean-Clément Soret and Glenmorangie ‘It’s Kind of Delicious & Wonderful’ by Philip Hambi alongside DDB Paris, Director Miles Aldridge awarded a Wood Pencil for Colour Grade.

Winning a D&AD Pencil remains one of the greatest creative achievements, our recent wins bring our total awarded pencils to 13 over the last 7 years and the incredible Yellow Pencil win for Burberry marks the project as one of our leading successes. The ‘Fashion Storm’ picked up a VES Awards for Outstanding Compositing In A Commercial, a Clio Silver Award for Outstanding VFX and was voted Creative Review Annual winner for Best Visual Effects and was Televisual’s No. 1 Commercial of 2020.
“Burberry was such an amazing project to be part of. What a fantastic achievement at D&AD, congratulations to our MPC team.” – Alex Lovejoy, Creative Director 2D.
“Honoured to receive such a prestigious award on what was such an incredibly enjoyable project to work on. Huge thanks to Miles Aldridge and the team for having me on board.” Philip Hambi on winning his first D&AD Pencil.
A big thanks goes out to all our collaborators and massive congratulations to the evening’s winners!
