The winners of the Creative Circle Awards have been announced and Colourist Matthieu Toullet has been awarded Gold in the best Colourist category for his work on the film ‘Birdman’ for Volvo. The film was also awarded Gold for Best Directon, and Silver for Best Cinematography.
Directed by D.A.R.Y.L with colour by MPC’s Matthieu Toullet, the eight-minute epic is the seventh instalment of Volvo’s ‘Defiant pioneer’ series, which champions the efforts of people hoping to improve the world around them.
Speaking on working on Volvo ‘Birdman’, Matthieu said: “We worked very closely with the duo D.A.R.Y.L and DP Ben Fordesman without forgetting ECD, Andy Lockley, to find the right aesthetic look for the film. We really wanted to achieve a look that fits perfectly with the storytelling.”
Congratulations also to the MPC teams that worked on Renault ‘The French Exchange’ and Argos ‘The Book of Dreams’, which both won multiple awards in the film discipline. Renault received Gold in the Best TV 60secs & over (single) and Best Cinema (Single) categories, and Silver in the Best Online Advertising Film 1 minute or over (campaign) and Best Film for Positive Change (single) categories, and Argos received Bronze in the Best Online Advertising Film 1 minute or over (campaign) and Best TV 60secs & over (single) categories.
