Take a look at how our teams developed IKEA’s magical 2015 campaign featuring a rusty robot who is struggling to learn to fly.
Created by Mother with VFX by MPC, the fantastical story explores the world of children’s imaginations, sparked by the IKEA LATTJO play range and a home designed to provide endless opportunities to play. It’s a world where sofas can become impressive mountain ranges, everyday pillows can turn into billowing clouds and even robots can learn how to fly again.
Our motion design team developed the DMP and VFX elements, including the CG road, rocks, grass, flowers, clouds, fire, smoke and dust. We joined multiple takes together and composited the shoot elements with the DMP backgrounds and VFX renders, to bring the film to life.
In our Behind the Moving Image series, we share the latest and greatest behind the scenes look at how our VFX geniuses bring to life some of our most iconic work.
