MPC completes shots for Bond and Watchmen

MPC’s London team has completed 182 VFX shots for the climax of the new Bond film ‘Quantum of Solace’ directed by Marc Forster for Eon. The main challenge was to destroy a hotel with a series of dramatic explosions. The external plates of the hotel were shot on location in Panama, while the internal shots were filmed at Pinewood Studios, where a small section of the hotel façade was built to be destroyed and used in close up shots.

Meanwhile over in Vancouver, the team has completed 250 shots on key sequences for Zack Snyder’s ‘Watchmen’ which include full digital doubles and cityscapes, 3D environments and a CG Owl ship. International distribution will be handled by Paramount.
