Ricky Gausis is a colorist whose work includes some of today’s most talked about commercials and music videos. Among the highlights, ZAYN and Taylor Swift’s “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever,” Calvin Harris’ “My Way,” Samsung’s “Surf – The Snail” and FX Networks’ Golden Globe-winning series “Atlanta.” He received a British Arrows Craft Gold award for his contributions on Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 trailer “Seize Glory.” He also graded Brooks “The Rundead,” which was nominated at the 2016 AICP Awards and won a D&AD Graphite Pencil.
Gausis’ craftsmanship was recognized with two Best Colour Grade UK MVA nominations in 2014 for Sam Smith’s “I’m Not The Only One” and DJ Snake’s “Turn Down For What” (also a GRAMMY Best Music Video nominee). He was nominated again in 2015 for Benjamin Booker’s “The Future is Slow Coming.”
Across his career, Gausis has worked with many of the industry’s top directors including Hiro Murai, Wayne McClammy, Björn Rhümann, Jake Scott and Grant Singer. He’s also enjoyed working with enormously talented DPs such as Dion Beebe, Robert Elswit, Hoyte van Hoytema and Larkin Seiple.
